MORE THAN 90 people attended the recent Plant Swap held by the Belmont County Master Gardeners at the St. Clairsville Memorial Park. Jaime Bolon, one of the attendees, appears ready to develop a green thumb as she checks out a flower held by her father, Jim. The swap is only one of the community events held by the Master Gardener Volunteer Program to inform others about gardening and to give horticultural advice. It also maintains a weekly hotline at (740) 695-1455 and teaches gardening skills to all age groups in addition to planting and maintaining community garden projects.
