"WILD CHERRY" was a funk/rock band which had a great success during 1976 . The band was formed in 1970's with Robert Parissi of Mingo Junction naming his group "Wild Cherry" which he named after a box of cough drops while he was recuperating from a brief hospital stay. Pictured here Albert Powell, Rick Wertz, Rob Parissi, Mark DelGuzzo and Joe DelGuzzo. Their favorite song was written by Robert Parissi and recorded by the band, "Play That Funky Music White Boy".
