DAVIS, Philip S. “Flip"

DAVIS, Philip S. "Flip", age 68, of Bridgeport, OH, formerly of Dillies Bottom, OH, died Thursday, June 27, 2013 in Heartland- Lansing, Bridgeport.

He was born August 22, 1944 in Bellaire, OH, the son of the late Derald D. and Virginia L. Schoen Davis.

He was a former employee of I.B. Moore, Co., Lexington, KY, and was the boat pilot for the Moundsville WV Ferry Boat; was a Methodist by faith; and loved fishing.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Beth Selmon Davis; three daughters, Kayleigh Davis of Bridgeport, Ronale (John) Hinds of Lexington, and Christina Davis of FL; four sons, Ernest "Butch" (Melanie) Davis of Moundsville, Derald (Mickie) Davis of Proctor, WV, Jeff (Etta) Davis of Martins Ferry, OH, and James "Jamie" (Patricia) Davis of Ashland, KY; a brother, Douglas Davis of Shadyside, OH; two sisters, Joyce (Jerry) Varvarosky of Shadyside, and Daviette (Phil) Robinson of Pendleton, SC; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Old Wegee Methodist Church, Cash Hill Rd., Shadyside, OH.
