UHAZY, Gary Grant, 72, of Almar Lane St. Clairsville, OH, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at OSU Medical Center, Columbus, OH.
He was born January 6, 1941 at Duncanwood, OH, a son of the late Steve and Amelia Ballog Uhazy.
Gary was a retired foreman for Consol Energy for 36 years and a successful entrepreneur/owner of Gary's Bar and Gary and Trudy's Gasthaus.
He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, Past Commander of Legion Post 159 and a Charter Member and Past Governor of Moose Lodge 2504.
Gary enjoyed bowling, collecting, feeding his birds, but most of all grilling out, talking, and laughing, with his family.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Jones.
Surviving is his wife of 43 years, Trudy Kuntz Uhazy; his children, Suzie (Steve) Lucas, Bethesda, OH, Gary (Michelle) Uhazy, Columbus, OH; and Heidi (Jarrod) Robinson, Buckeye Lake, OH; three grandchildren, Katie Lucas, Camden and Zachary Uhazy; and his sisters, Shirley Turner and Bonnie Bailey. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends that love and adore him.
Friends will be received from 2-6 p.m. Saturday at the Beck-Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 204 West Main St., St. Clairsville, OH 43950 where Belmont County Council of the American Legion will provide military funeral rites at 6 p.m. followed by Gary's funeral service with Jerry Gasber officiating.

The doctors and nurses and staff at OSU worked so hard with determination and compassion to try and save Gary's life. This fund will help support them in their individual times of need.
