NENET ASHLEY Bobek and Albert Ray Gunion, Jr., were united in marriage on Saturday, July 20, at the First Presbyterian Church in Shadyside with the Rev. David Roberts officiating. The bride was escorted by her father.
Parents of the bride are Ronald and Sally Bobek of Shadyside. Parents of the groom are Marsha Gunion and the late Albert R. Gunion, Sr. of Wheeling.
Nicole Richardson was matron of honor. David Jarrell was the best man. Other attendants were Heidi Bobek, Denise Nally, Nathan Bobek and Jeff Richardson. Ryan Nesperly served as an usher. Ringer bearers were Benjamin Richardson and Tyler Popp. Flower girls were Layla and Landry Bobek. Drew and Ashleigh Angelo were program attendants. Alex and Natalie Angelo were bubble attendants. Danny Popp and Scott Lopert were scripture readers and special thoughts.

A reception was held at The West Wing Event Hall at Stratford Springs.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Shadyside High School and earned a career diploma as a veterinary assistant from Penn Foster Career School in 2011. She is employed by Marshall County Animal Rescue League.
The groom is a 1991 graduate of John Marshall High School and is employed by Consol Energy at Shoemaker Mine. He is a member of The United Mine Workers of America as well as The International Brotherhood of Boiler Makers.
Following a wedding trip to Lake Placid, New York, the couple will reside in Shadyside.
