BAILEY, Robert M., 75, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain, following a sudden illness.
Mr. Bailey was born in Dillonvale, OH on March 1, 1938, the son of the late John W. and Sophia E. (Roski) Bailey.
He was a graduate of Dillonvale High School, class of 1956.
He worked in the maintenance department of Ford Motor-Lorain, retiring in 1995 after 36 years of service. He was a member of the retired UAW-Local 425 and he volunteered with Lorain Catholic Boosters and coached Little League Baseball.
Robert is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy C. (nee Wilson) Bailey, daughter of Debbie M. Schuster of Lorain, grand children, Sarah Schaffer, John Krafcik, Jessica Schuster, Dennis Schuster Jr., five great-grand children, sisters, Joyce (William) Pekera of Dillonvale and Sharon (Richard) Crossland of Fort Worth, TX.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Bailey Jr., in 1977 and a brother, Leon Bailey.
Private graveside services were held at Calvary Cemetery with Rev. Daniel O. Divis, pastor of St. Mary Church, officiating.
