Cases heard in Belmont Court

ST. CLAIRSVILLE Several sentences were handed down and pleas heard during Monday's session of Belmont County Common Pleas Court. Judge Jennifer L. Sargus presided.

Crystale Gayle Hoyt, 36, 105 Chestnut St., Powhatan Point, pleaded guilty to two counts of trafficking in drugs, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Oct. 19, 2010. Sentence was set for Sept. 3. She faces a maximum of 36 months.

Noble Jeret Knight, 26, 116 First St., Powhatan Point, was sentenced on two counts theft, a felony of the fifth degree occurring Feb. 5, 2013. He was given three years of probation and six months EOCC.

Cody C. McIntire, 28, 436 North Seventh St., Martins Ferry, pleaded guilty to passing bad checks, a felony of the fourth degree occurring Feb. 25, 2012. Sentence was set for Aug. 19. An EOCC evaluation and victim impact statement were ordered. He faces a maximum of 18 months.

Ronnie Lee Oliver, 22, incarcerated, was sentenced on counts of theft, a felony of the fifth degree, occurring May 3, 2012. He was given a sentence of 18 months, suspended in part. He will serve three months jail, six months EOCC, followed by five years of monitoring.

William Leonard Ronquest III, 32, 105 High St., Flushing, was re-sentenced to six months EOCC and two years' probation. He was originally charged with pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, a felony of the second degree occurring July 14, 2010.

Cynthia Marie Stinehelfer, 30, 419 South St., Galion, pleaded guilty to tampering with evidence, a felony of the third degree. Sentence was set for Aug. 19. A pre-sentence investigation, victim impact statement and EOCC evaluation were ordered. She faces a maximum of 36 months.

Damian Kingsly Therrien, 18, incarcerated, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault, a felony of the fourth degree occurring April 23, 2013. Sentence was set for Aug. 19. A victim impact statement and EOCC evaluation were ordered. He faces a maximum sentence of 18 months.

Matthew Schybal Jr., 21, Jacobsburg, was arraigned and pleaded not guilty to three counts of theft and three counts receiving stolen property, felonies of the fifth degree occurring July and August of 2011. Pre-trial was set for Sept 3, with plea agreement Sept. 16 and trial Sept 26. Bond was set at $10,000.

A warrant was issued for David Michael Sexton, 28, 26 Lincoln Avenue, Benwood.
