Times Leader

Dear Editor,

The Martins Ferry Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who was involved in helping to make our Skyshow 2013 such a huge success!

First on our list of thank yous are our major sponsors: Belmont County Tourism Council, The Citizens Bank, East Ohio Regional Hospital, Riesbeck's Food Markets, MFHS Alumni Association and The Times Leader.

Thanks to all our hardworking committee and all our volunteers - especially to the Lions and Leos Clubs. Next are the Martins Ferry City Schools and Mr. Tom Ayers for allowing us to use their properties. Without all these people the event would not be possible.

We also must thank Pyrotechnics by Presutti for the beautiful show, Chad, Brian, Dan, Roger and Dustin for the music, Extreme Entertainment for the inflatable rides and Bobby Kies and his crew for cleaning up. Thanks also to the following for their donations: James C. Dawes Co., Inc., Ohio City Lodge F&AM, Martins Ferry Lions Club, Griffiths Pharmacy, Belmont-Harrison Career Center, Ultimate Signs and Graphics, Dan Stephens - State Farm Insurance, National Lime & Stone, Harvey Goodman Realtors, Zontini's Pizza, Softite Community Federal Credit Union, Z's Jewelry, Tom Olszowy Insurance, Dirk & Mary Beth Fitch, Knights of Columbus #1421, Liberty Engine Co., Quality Motor Cars, Economy Auto Sales, Sudsy's Auto Spa, Linda Brown - Allstate Insurance, Steele-Cook Insurance Agency, Martins Ferry Carryout, Betty Snider, and Stanley Stein. All of our vendors deserve a big "thank you" for helping to make this event as good as it was.

The City of Martins Ferry including Mayor Paul Riethmiller, the police and fire departments and city workers deserve a big thank you for all their help before, during and after the event.

We also must thank everyone who purchased a 50/50 or put a donation in the collection bucket no matter how big or little. Thank you to all who attended. Come see us next year when we are tentatively scheduled for Thursday, July 3!!!
