BELLAIRE - The Lady Irish notched their first girls' volleyball win of the young season in the Green House Thursday evening as St. John Central prevailed in three sets over visiting Toronto 27-25, 25-16, and 26-24.
The Irish would battle back from a five-point deficit to take the final set.
"It was a great win. I am very proud of this team," said Irish head coach Carrie Ramsay after putting her first one in the win column.

Lindsey Froelich led the Irish with 17 kills, four blocks, two assists and four digs. Jessica Alvey notched 10 spikes, one block, six digs and 11 points, while Caitlin Sliva added eight kills, four digs and 13 points. Sydney Helms set for 20 assists, served up nine points with two aces and five digs. Amber LeMotte had 14 digs and 13 points.
The Lady Irish reserves won in three sets.
