MOUNDSVILLE - An autopsy will be performed this morning at the State Police crime lab to determine what caused the death of a 31-year-old Moundsville man whose body was found Sunday evening in the Ohio River.

A boater found the body around 7:10 p.m. Sunday along the river bank near Ohio River Aggregate and the former Ohio Edison R.E. Burger Plant. The deceased was face-down, and part of his body was submerged in the water.

Moundsville police did not release the man's name on Sunday, but said his family has been notified of his death, which appears to be drug-related.

"This man has been known to abuse inhalants," Sgt. Steve Kosek said.
