Farmer: 35th wedding anniversary

CLARENCE "BUD" S. and Charlotte Marie (Maxwell) Farmer will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary on Sept. 25.

Farmer is the son of the late John W. Farmer Jr. and Wilda Mae Wiley. He is a retired coal miner, working for Windsor Coal for 21 years.

His wife, Charlotte, is the daughter of the late Calvin Leslie Maxwell Sr. and Ida Mae Bassell. She has formerly worked at John Dieckmann's Florist and in the cafeteria at West Liberty University's Rogers Hall.

Together, they have three children: a daughter, Carey; two sons, Matthew and Brian; and numerous grandchildren.

The couple resides on their 108-acre farm in Valley Grove, W.Va. where they spend their free time sitting on the front porch enjoying the breeze and watching the native wildlife while holding hands.

The anniversary will be celebrated with a family dinner.
