Devils blank Creek

ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- Coming off a shutout by Wheeling Park, St. Clairsville handed visiting Indian Creek a 6-0 whipping Tuesday night in girls' high school soccer action on the artificial turf at Red Devil Stadium.

Carlee Gillespie and Taryn Barr each scored twice as the Red Devils kept pace as the OVAC?Cup cut-off date is tonight.

Madison Keenan and Delainey Banks also scored for the winners.

Notching assists were Gillespie, Banks, Valerie Dobbs, Eberle Ferrell and Hannah Jordan.

Goalkeeper Briana Sowers made four saves, while Sophia Weidman added one.

St. Clairsville will await tonight's results in order to see who it matches up with next week when OVAC?Cup action begins.

St. Clairsville is 6-3.
