"We do not believe this is a case of an adult who just doesn't want to be found," said DeWine. "This is not a person who has a habit of losing contact with her family for months at a time."

The Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation and its missing persons unit are assisting the Harrison County Sheriff's Department in the case.

DeWine said friends have offered a $1,000 reward for information leading to Konanec's whereabouts.

Konanec has blonde hair, hazel eyes and scars on her right arm. She has multiple tattoos, including the name "Daniel" on her back.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Konanec should call the BCI tip line at (855) BCI-OHIO (855-224-6446) or the Harrison County Sheriff's Department at (740) 942-2197. Tips also can be submitted online through the attorney general's website at ohioattorneygeneral.gov.
