Times Leader

East Richland Christian was swept in a triangular Thursday evening, falling to Valley (25-14 and 25-7) and to Bishop Donahue (25-8, 25-8).

Against the Lumberjills, East Richland Christian was led by Alyssa Crowley's three kills and Susanna Yourko's 13 sets.

Against Donahue, the Lady Lions were paced by Crowley's two kills and two points. Yourko had 19 sets and two digs.

Frontier edges River

Frontier had to go the distance to top River 25-20, 14-25, 7-25, 25-29, 15-10.

Amanda Bennett had 21 points and five digs for the Pilots. Abby Caldwell added 19 points and 10 digs, Mackenzie Wade had 15 points and 19 digs, Monica Curtis compiled 15 points and 27 assists, Jensen Caretti had 22 kills and 14 digs and Mackenzie Marshall recorded 14 points and 21 digs.

Martins Ferry tops Bridgeport

Morgan Carpenter had 13 points, eight digs and seven assists as Martins Ferry downed Bridgeporrt 25-16, 20-25, 25-14.

Lauren Bennett added nine points and 11 digs for the Purple Riders, while Katie Sutherland had eight points, seven digs and five kills. Brooklynn Monroe had six points and seven digs, while Breanne Long had seven digs.

Amber Millard had 10 points for the Bulldogs, while Maclaine Murad scored seven points and Alysa Cook dished out 14 assists.

Barnesville bests Bridgeport

Miranda Plumly had seven points, nine kills and six digs as Barnesville topped Bridgeport 25-17, 28-26.

Layne Broomhall added nine points, nine assists and nine digs for the Shamrocks.

Millard paced Bridgeport with eight points, 11 digs and five kills, while Cook added five points and 15 assists.

Shamrocks down Riders

Shasta Roberts scored 16 points as Barnesville downed Martins Ferry 24-26, 25-21, 25-16.

Plumly added 20 kills and 10 digs for the Shamrocks, while Sydney Ralston had 13 kills.

Sutherland scored 11 points for the Purple Riders, while Morgan Carpenter had 10.

Shenandoah sweeps Trail

Lexe Starr and Alexis Wheeler both scored four points, but it wasn't enough as Buckeye Trail fell to Shenandoah 25-15, 25-15, 25-16
