CHAPLIN, Mary Ann “Cuppy,”

CHAPLIN, Mary Ann "Cuppy," 86, of Duffy, OH, died Thursday, September 26, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, WV.

She was born April 30, 1927 in Newell, PA, the daughter of the late Demarco and Anna Rocca Dandrea.

Cuppy was a member of St. John Bosco Mission in Sardis, OH; a lifetime member of VFW Post 9930 Ladies Auxiliary in Duffy; the Theodora Rebeckah Lodge in Hannibal, OH and the former Duffy Community Club. She loved fishing, camping, and playing cards with her grandkids.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John O. Chaplin, Sr.; a son, John O. Chaplin, Jr.; four brothers, Samuel, Joseph and Marco Dandrea, and William "Rocky" Dendron; and a sister, Janet "Chatty" Dandrea.

Survivors include two daughters, Robyn (Rick) Cecil of Duffy and Apryl (Edwin) Ankrom of Sardis, OH; three grandchildren, Steven Cecil, Ricci Cecil and Jourdan Ankrom; three sisters, Sunday "Minnie" (Bill) Roth of Hannibal, Dolores "June" Smith of Newell, PA and Eleanor "Ellie" Longwell of Wheeling, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a Christian Wake service at 7:45 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound Street, Sardis.

Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. at St. John Bosco Church, State Route 7, Sardis, with Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik as celebrant.

Interment to follow in Emma Grove Cemetery, Hannibal, OH.
