As October has been designated as "National Domestic Violence Awareness Month," I would like to take this opportunity to commend Tri-County Help Center, Inc. for its dedication, professionalism and tireless work ethic in their fighting to combat the effects of domestic violence for more than three decades by offering a myriad of services designed to assist victims of domestic abuse and violence, pursuing the ultimate goal of the eventual eradication of this most heinous and destructive of crimes in the area.
Tri-County Help Center, which served Belmont, Harrison and Monroe counties in Ohio, employs components including the following to address the grave issue of domestic violence: Community Support Services, Court Advocacy Support, Domestic Abuse Intervention, Outpatient Counseling and Outpatient Psychiatric Assessment and Treatment, which are provided by a very well-trained, caring, professional staff, with the victim's needs and rights always as their top priority.
On Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013, a March and ceremony for the purpose of further emphasizing Domestic Violence Awareness will take place at 6 p.m., commencing at the Administrative Office of Tri-County Help Center at 104 1/2 North Marietta Street, St. Clairsville, culminating with a brief ceremony at the steps of the Belmont County Courthouse.
All concerned citizens are invited and encouraged to participate in this most worthwhile of events.
As a former Board member, I applaud the outstanding work of Executive Director, Cathy Campbell, and her wonderful staff for their continued dedication and laudatory service to those in need.
Hope to see everyone at the March!
