MILLER, Otis Edward, Jr., 73, of Gahanna, passed away Tuesday, October 15, 2013.
He was born February 29, 1940 in Barnesville, OH, to the late Otis Miller, Sr. and Beulah Miller.
He was a 1958 graduate of Flushing H.S. and attended Otterbein College. He worked for Western Electric, now known as Alcatel-Lucent Technologies, retiring in 1999.
He was a photographer for the Little League sports in Gahanna and surrounding areas in his earlier career as well. Ed was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gahanna and the Lions Club for many years.
He enjoyed bowling, bird watching, gardening, and fishing on a friend's farm. He also loved working on computers and ground hog hunting with his brothers-in-law. Above all, family was the most important to Ed and he will be dearly missed.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jason Edward Miller; brother, Warren Miller; and sisters, Doris Taylor and Jean Smith.
Edward will be missed by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca; children, Dawn Miller, Josh (Paula) Miller, and Amanda (Edgar) Torres; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Corben, and Eric Starkloff; Alissa and Madaline Miller; Amelia Torres; and a grandson on the way; and sister, Jane Bell.
Family and friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Friday, October 18, 2013 from 11 a.m. until time of services at noon, with Rev. David Powell officiating followed by interment in Rock Hill Cemetery, Flushing.
