Water available for Ferry residents

October 24, 2013
Times Leader

A water line break in Martins Ferry has left some residents without drinking water.

Service Director Chuck Bennett wants the public to know that help is on the way.

Available now is non-drinking water at two locations in town and by 1:30 p.m. today, drinking water will be available.

The two locations are the Liberty Fire Station at 500 Center St. and also at the entrance to Floral Valley.

Once the repairs are completed, the city will announce a boil order for all residents to follow.

Currently, residents on Mackey Avenue and all streets north of Mackey are without water.

Anyone needing drinking water, and non-drinking water for other purpose are asked to bring their own containers to the two previously mentioned locations.
