Buckeye Local BOE adds two new members

The hotly contested 12-person race for three seats on the Buckeye Local School District Board of Education returned one incumbent to office and will bring two new faces to the board as a result of Tuesday's election outcome.

Incumbent board member Naoma Kolkedy was returned to another term on the board, after finishing third in?Tuesday's balloting.

Newly elected Buckeye Local School District Board of Education members will be James Cesario and Dirk Pielech.

Preliminary results from Tuesday's election tally provided the following results for the full slate of candidates.

Election results were: Cesario - 1,216; Dirk Pielech - 1,128; Kolkedy - 814; Edmund Blazeksi Jr. - 780; Chuck Haggerty - 674; Mike Belon - 577; Shawnna Merrill - 561; Dale Dollison and Mike Pyciak both got exactly 463 votes; Russell Cominsky got 452; Alice Pugh - 449; and Korrene Prince received 145.
