He was born December 11, 1936, in Wheeling, WV, the son of the late Frederick, Sr. and Lillian DePriest Olson.
Mr. Olson was a contract coordinator for the former Scott Lumber Company; and a Protestant by faith. Peck was a football official for high school and college ball. He was a honorary life member of the Ohio Valley Board Officials, a honorary official at the 2004 Rudy Mumley O.V.A.C. all-star football classic.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Mae Oberle Olson in 2012; two brothers, Samuel and Charles; two sisters, Oliva Blake and Ruth Harris.
Surviving are a daughter, Terri Tomolonis and her husband, Steve of Bridgeport, OH; two sons, Ron Olson and his wife, Julie of Bridgeport, OH; and David Olson and his wife, Betty Jo of Bethlehem, WV; a brother, Fred Olson, Jr. of Benwood, WV; a sister- in-law, Jackie Olson of Glen Dale, WV; five grand children, Matthew Olson and his wife, Kristina of Staunton, VA, Brianne Tomolonis Poilek and her husband, John of Wheeling, Andrew Olson of Lavale, MD, Maria Olson and Michael Olson both of Bethlehem, WV and a great-grandson, Liam Olson.
Friends will be received from 4-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 3545 Jacob St., South Wheeling (304-232-4060) where services will be held on Monday, November 18, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Pastor Mark A. Zelewicz officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling.
