Kelly Perzanowski finished her collegiate career at Florida Gulf Coast University in grand style Friday, placing 14th at the NCAA South Region Cross Country Champ-ionships at the University of Alabama's Harry Pritchett Running Course in Tuscaloosa.
That was good enough to give her a spot on the awards' stand as an all-region performer - the first in school history.
Perzanowski, a St. Clairsville High School graduate, finished the race with a school-record time of 20:38.86. She outpaced, not only every runner from her conference (Atlantic Sun), but from numerous Southeastern Conference schools.
She was finished 101st last season.
Perzanowski finished her career holding every FGSU women's cross country record.
