BLASKOVICH, Francis J. (Frank), 85, of Edgewater Park, New Jersey died Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice Center, Mt Holly, N.J.
Frank was born and raised in Yorkville, OH, attended Linsly Military Academy in Wheeling W.V. Upon graduation from high school, he served in the U.S. Army assigned to duties in Japan post WWII.
After completing his military service, Frank attended Memphis State University, where he played football and earned his masters degree in education. Post graduation Frank taught high school and coached football in Memphis TN, and Steubenville, OH before moving to New Jersey where he continued his career as a high school teacher and football coach, first at Pemberton H.S. and then Shawnee H.S. Frank finished his career teaching at Lenape H.S., Mt. Laurel, NJ.
Frank was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara ( nee Douglass). He is survived by his four children, Mary Pallis (Steve), John (Ginny), Barbara Hampton (the late Joseph), Feb (Charlie); and 11 beautiful grandchildren. Frank is also survived by his beloved sister, Josephine Schuster of Yorkville, OH.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, November 21 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. immediately followed by an 11:30 a.m. funeral service, all at the Mount Laurel Home for Funerals, 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel, NJ. Burial will be at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ, at 1:30 p.m.
