HAYNES, Edward A., 72, of Jacobsburg, OH, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born February 23, 1941, in Bradford, PA,, a son of the late William and Francis Carr Haynes.
Edward was a retired coal miner with Consolidated Coal Co. and was a Protestant by faith.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by four brothers, Gene, Bob, George and John Haynes, and three sisters, Martha Lemasters, Betty Pelley and Viola Haynes.
Surviving are six children, Edward A. Haynes III, of Austin, TX, William (Nancy) Haynes, of Shadyside, OH, R. Doug Haynes, of Rayland, OH, Veronica (Doug)Maury, of Moundsville, Tamara (Ron) Helms, of Jacobsburg, OH, Dreama McCord, of Philippi, WV, a sister, Mary Mattern, of Moundsville, four brothers; Charles (Diana) Haynes, of Proctor, WV, David (Phyllis) Haynes, Michael (Charlene) Haynes and Paul Haynes, all of Moundsville, 15 grandchildren and six great-grand children.
Friends will be received on Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, Lutes and Kirby Vance Chapel, 118 Grant Ave., Moundsville, WV, where services will be held on Monday, November 25 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Ray Benesh officiating.
Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
