TORONTO - The homestanding Red Knights owned a 10-point cushion at halftime, but a hot-shooting performance by Bridgeport in the second half sparked the Bulldogs to a 63-53 victory.
Coach Donnie Cash's team is now 3-0 on the season and tallied 41 points in the fina two quarters.
Bridgeport was led by junior Parker Dyson's 17. Classmate Bailey McGrath added 14 points and Q.J. Williams netted 12 tallies. Robert Teeman added 11. Both Williams and Dyson had double-doubles with 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively.
Chez Glenn paced Toronto with 17 points.
Harrison Central 71, Edison 60
CADIZ - Katie Ellzy scored 31 points and pulled down 11 rebounds Thursday night as Harrison Central defeated visiting Edison 71-60 in girls' basketball action inside the John W. Stephenson Center.
Ellzy meshed 11 two-point goals and nine of 10 free throws in her season-high effort.
Shianne Nameth added 15 points and four assists for the Huskies (4-2), who have won four straight after a pair of season-opening losses.
