$20K reward is offered in murder case

The family of murder victim Marvin Brown of Powhatan Point is offering a reward totaling more than $20,000, for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for Brown's death.

Brown, 73, former mayor of Powhatan Point, was found dead from a gunshot wound in a hunting cabin on his property on Nov. 18. Anyone who may have additional information should call the sheriff's office at 740-695-7933, ext. 112.

Anyone wishing to donate to the reward fund can do so at any Belmont Savings Bank.
