PLEASANT GROVE - Jerry and Carol Laposki of Pleasant Grove are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today, Dec. 22. They were united in marriage on Dec. 22, 1973 at the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church by the Rev. Warren Costick.
Jerry is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Ina) Laposki of Adena. He was an Industrial Arts teacher for Buckeye Local Schools, then was a blaster/heavy equipment operator for Hardy Coal Company and Starvaggi Industries before retiring.
His wife, Carol, is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Max (Emma) Casteel, also of Adena. She worked for the United States Postal Service for 25 years, retiring as Postmistress of the Rayland Post Office.

They are the parents of two daughters, Carrie (Chad) Kuttie of Belmont and Kimberly (Mike) Barto of New Athens. They have four grandchildren: Brock, Andy, Megan and Zack.
They celebrated their anniversary with a family dinner.
