Snow Fall, Barnesville, in 1950

January 18, 2014
Times Leader

SNOW PILED high on Barnesville Main Street in November 1950. This snow was more than 32 inches deep. Kinda like what happened this year a few days ago. Some places had as much as 36 or more inches. Elsewhere in Ohio it was the year that the Ohio State Buckeyes played in a game, which was dubbed in the "Snow Bowl." The game was with Michigan and there were no takers when two game tickets were offered free at the Barnesville Enterprise as travel was impossible. Photo Courtesy/ Jean Davies
