BELLAIRE Police, with assistance from Bridgeport Police, arrested a Cleveland man wanted for a parole violation and escape.
Myon E. Johnson, 32, was arrested Thursday at 4324 Noble St., after officers surrounded the residence at about 7:30 p.m. Johnson was arrested without incident as he was entering into NCIC as a wanted person considered armed and dangerous with violent tendencies.
Johhson had previous convictions for felonious assault and domestic violence and attempted felonious assault. Police are calling him a peson of interest in several crimes commited in Bellaire over the last week. A vehicle was towed from the scene and is impounded untiI BCI&I can process it.
Bellaire Police received a tip earlier in the week of Johnson's location and were in contact with parole authorities from the Cuyahoga County area. Authorities confirm that Johnson was wanted and that an additional charge of escape had been filed
Bellaire Police Chief Mike Kovalyk credited the arrest to the good people of Bellaire who came forward with information.
The investigation is continuing.
