FARSON, James Robert "Bob" Sr., 81, of Barnesville, OH, passed away Saturday, January 25, 2014, at Wheeling Hospital.
He was born May 5, 1932 in Dresden, OH, to the late Harold and Evelyn (Pryor) Farson.
Bob was a member of the Fairview Church of Christ, NRA of Ohio Valley, Sertoma in St. Louisville, OH, Druids and the VFW Post 2792.
In addition to his parents, Harold Farson and Evelyn (Pryor) Farson West Pfiefer, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Joyce K. Farson and Carol Farson Gillham; and brother Ronald Farson.
He is survived by his six children: Barb McCualsky of Newark, Lynn (Randy) Howiler of Mt. Vernon, Kim (Willie) Smith of Newark, Jim Farson of Newark, Tim Farson of Newark and Harold Farson of St. Louisville, OH; brother and sisters Bill (Judy) Farson, Lucille Riemenschneider and Marianne Armstrong; 16 grandchildren; 21 great- grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Betty (Doug) Eddy, Nancy Temple and Rick and Tracy Temple; and best friend, Suzie (loyal pet).
Visitation will be Wednesday January 29, 2014, from 5 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. with Ev. George Warner officiating at Campbell- Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut St., Barnesville, OH. VFW Belmont County Honor Guard will conduct military services on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m.
