WOODSFIELD - Monroe Central earned its 15th victory to cap the regular season thanks to a 47-44 victory against River.

The Seminoles were led by Levi Brown and Bryan Duffy, who went for 14 and 12, respectively.

River, meanwhile, was led by Ryan Indermuhle's 15 points. Parker Caretti added eight.

The Pilots finish the regular season at 4-18.

GIRLS

Division II Sectional

Philo 63, Steubenville 31

DRESDEN - Philo built a 13-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back en route to a convincing 63-31 Division II sectional victory against Steubenville Tuesday evening.

The Lady Big Red finish with a 20-3 record.

Steubenville, which didn't get to the foul line in the game, was paced by senior standout Emiley Masloski, who went for 16 points.

Cambridge 37, Indian Creek 33

MORRISTOWN - Cambridge closed the game on a 23-10 run and eliminated Indian Creek, 37-33, at Union Local High School Tuesday evening.

The Lady Redskins, who finish at 14-7, were led by junior Bre Berryman. She scored 24 points.

Cambridge is now 14-9 and it will meet Carrollton for a trip to the district championship.
