SUTER, Sr., Kenneth, 85, of County Road 15, Rayland, died Saturday, February 22, 2014, at home.
He was born March 29, 1928, a son of the late Clara Book Suter and Henry Suter.
Kenneth was a retired craneman at the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Yorkville Plant and president of the S.O.A.R. Group. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army; was in charge of the U.S.O. band and visited Hitler's estate in Bertchesgaden, Germany.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Cheryl; his two sisters, Wilma Jones and Mildred Lash and his son-in-law, James Peck.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Vivian Pietro Suter, daughter, Sandy of Bridgeport; son Kenneth (Rhonda Russell) Jr. of Connersville; daughter, Karen Peck of Rayland and daughter, Chris of Yorkville; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Borkoski Funeral Home, Tiltonsville, OH, on Wednesday, February 26, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 11 a.m.,
Full military honors will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. by the Belmont County Council of the V.F.W.
Burial will be in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
