TRACZYK, Joseph J., 75, of St. Clairsville, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at his home.
He was born in Lafferty, Ohio on December 4, 1938, son of the late Rudolph Joseph Traczyk and Myrtle Ann Sulek Traczyk.
Joe was a retired custodial engineer with St. Clairsville Richland City Schools and former owner and operator of Traczyk Distributing in Lansing.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and his dogs. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Maynard and a U. S. Army veteran serving with the 82nd Airborne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Lana Drumm Traczyk; his son-in-law, Jeff Foley; and brother, Rudy Traczyk.
Surviving are his children, Joe Traczyk II of St. Clairsville, Kyle (Cindy) Traczyk of St. Clairsville, Kirsten Foley of Bedford, Texas and Eric (Jamie) Traczyk of St. Clairsville; six grandchildren, Jorden Traczyk, Samantha and Kassidy Traczyk, Charles Anderson, Daniel and Ellie Traczyk; nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville with a Vigil Service at 3 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church in Maynard with Father Thomas Graven the celebrant.
Entombment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens Mausoleum where the Belmont County Council of American Legions will conduct full military honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
