HANNAH ABSALOM, St. John Central. This senior standout had a great opening week as she twirled a 1-hitter against Toronto that featured a dozen strikeouts. She then fired a 3-inning perfect game against Valley, striking out eight. She also had a single, double and four RBI vs. the Lumberjills.
MORGAN DeLUCA, St. John Central. A talented junior backstop, she cracked out seven hits and drove in nine runs for the Irish. Among her hits were three singles, two doubles and a pair of home runs.
ROSIE ROMICK, River. This Pilots' sophomore had two singles and four ribbies in a win over Shadyside.
HAYLEE BOWERS, River. A hard-hitting junior shortstop, she banged out eight hits and knocked in three runs for the still-undefeated Pilots.
DALLAS MESSENGER, Bellaire. A junior catcher for the Big Reds, she drilled six singles and drove in a run in a twinbill sweep of Linsly.
ABBE CUSICK, Bellaire. This freshman had an outstanding doubleheader at the plate against Linsly as she collected three singles and a double that produced four runs.
LAUREN SWIGER, Buckeye Local. This junior shortstop had a big day at the plate against Edison when she drove in three runs with a single and two doubles.
KIERSTYN CZUCHRAN, Buckeye Local. A hard-hitting junior, she smacked a 2-run homer against the Wildcats.
RACHEL ZEROSKI, Buckeye Local. A sophomore catcher, she finished with a trio of one-base raps against Edison.
KATIE ELLZY, Harrison Central. A junior fireballer, she hurled a 1-hitter at Wheeling Park that featured 11 strikeouts. She also knocked in four runs with two singles and a 3-run homer.
KARA DUNFEE, Harrison Central. This Huskies' senior had three singles and a run batted in against the Patriots.
MERCEDEZ McLEOD, Martins Ferry. Only a freshman, she had four hits and an RBI in two Purple Rider victories.
CARLEE GILLESPIE, St. Clairsville. A senior outfielder, she recorded a single. double and four runs batted in in three games.
MICHAELA MILLER, St. Clairsville. A junior pitcher/shortstop, she collected three singles a pair of doubles and drove in three runs during the week. She also picked up two of the three Red Devil victories inside the circle.
Q.J. WILLIAMS, Bridgeport. This junior outfielder slugged .750 for the undefeated Bulldogs during the week. He rapped four singles and two doubles while driving in five runs.
PARKER DYSON, Bridgeport. A lanky junior, he cracked a grand slam in game one of a doubleheader with Cameron. In game two, he gave up four hits while striking out four to get the win.
MICHAEL 'ZUKE' JACOB, St. Clairsville. Jacob twirled a three-hitter in St. C.'s season-opening victory against Wheeling Central.
JONATHAN BORKOSKI, Buckeye Local. Borkoski exploded for a home, four doubles and five RBI as Buckeye Local thumped Weir.
DOMINIC ROSE, Buckeye Local. Also against the Red Riders, Rose knocked in five runs, in addition to doubling and singling.
ZACH FRIZZI, Shadyside. Frizzi stymied River hitters, fanning 15 and walking two in the Tigers' triumph in Hannibal.
CONNOR COUP, Martins Ferry. Coup laced two singles and plated three runs as Martins Ferry blanked Linsly.
ROBERT VARGO, Martins Ferry. 'Big Red' slapped a double and knocked in two runs as Martins Ferry continued its strong start by besting Linsly on the road.
DEVIN JACKSON, Monroe Central. Jackson homered, singled and drove in three runs in the Seminoles' victory against Buckeye Trail.
NICK PATRONE, Bellaire. Patrone started the season off right, striking out 16 in a victory against Harrison Central.
COLTON CAMPBELL, Shadyside. Campbell doubled and had the game-winning RBI in a victory against River.
ZACH MEADOWS, Shadyside. Meadows laced two singles and knocked in a run as Shadyside blanked the Pilots in Hannibal.
COLTON COSS, Linsly. Coss rapped three singles as Linsly blanked Barnesville on the road.
BRENDEN BAIRE, Martins Ferry. Baire doubled and added two singles and an RBI as Martins Ferry edged Indian Creek in extra innings.
SETH SCOTT, Martins Ferry. Scott doubled and plated three runs in the Purple Riders' e-ght-inning triumph at Indian Creek
TYLER RAMSAY, Bellaire. Ramsay homered to help lead the Big Reds past Harrison Central in its season opener.
BRENTON ROSS, Bellaire. Ross singled and drove in two runs as Bellaire topped Harrison Central.
TYESHA ALLEN, Martins Ferry. Sophomore won the high and low hurdles and also captured the high-point crown at the Bellaire Early Bird.
AYLA STEWART, St. Clairsville. Senior won the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the Bellaire Early Bird.
