HANNAH ABSALOM, St. John Central. In four games last week, this hard-throwing senior struck out 46 batters, including 15 in the championship game of the Magnolia Tournament. She yielded only 13 hits and tossed a 1-hitter at Steubenville. At the plate, she singled, doubled twice and homered to drive in seven runs.
MORGAN DeLUCA, St. John Central. This hard-hitting junior backstop smacked three singles, a double and home run to account for seven runs batted in.
TAYLOR LOWE, St. John Central. This freshman cracked seven singles and a double to drive in six runs.
GILLI JOHNSON, St. John Central. Another promising frosh, she drove in five runs with a single and two doubles.
MIRANDA BOWERS, Bridgeport. This freshman notched her first career no-hitter in a shutout of Bishop Donahue. She fanned seven and drove home two runs with a single. She also had 11 strikeouts in a loss at Bellaire and picked up wins over Barnesville and Union Local.
KERI RENZLER, Bridgeport. A junior catcher/shortstop, she collected two singles, three doubles and a triple to go along with four RBI.
DEVIN EARLIWINE, Union Local. This junior smacked a game-winning RBI double in the eighth inning to defeat Harrison Central, which had been undefeated.
BAILEY LOHR, Union Local. Picked up her first career win in a 2-hit shutout victory over Harrison Central. She is a freshman.
HAYLEE BOWERS, River. This hard-hitting junior shortstop collected 11 hits, including nine extra-base hits last week. She had two singles, six doubles, two triples and a home run. She finished with five RBI.
GABBY GOUDY, River. The Pilots' senior hurler, she struck out eight in a victory over Buckeye Trail, 10 in a win over Tyler Consolidated, and 13 in a triumph over Caldwell. She also added four singles, a pair of doubles and three RBI.
MACKENZIE MARSHALL, River. A junior catcher, she had six hits and four runs batted in. Included in her hits were a double and home run.
SARAH McANINCH, Bellaire. A freshman pitcher, she fanned three in tossing a 6-hit shutout against Bridgeport. She also fanned 10 and didn't walk a batter against Barnesville.
MACKENZIE CONROY, Bellaire. A hard-hitting outfielder, she recorded four singles and two doubles for the Big Reds, driving in three runs.
KIERSTYN CZUCHRAN, Buckeye Local. Another hard-hitting junior, she blasted two home runs and finished with three RBI against Toronto.
SANDRA GARDNER, Buckeye Local. A sophomore pitcher, she stepped in against undefeated Indian Creek and fired a 3-hit shutout of the Redskins. She struck out three and walked one, while driving in three runs with a single and double.
ASHLEY BAKER, St. Clairsville. This junior doubled twice and homered to drive in two runs against West Muskingum.
TYRAH KING, Martins Ferry. A hard-hitting sophomore, she collected five singles, a double and home run that produced six runs.
CHAD ALLEMAN, Monroe Central. Alleman slapped a double and plated four runs against Martins Ferry.
GARRETT TRUDO, Martins Ferry. The junior had a big day against Monroe Central, driving in six runs and slapping three singles.
LOGAN SCHULTZ, Barnesville. This Shamrocks dandy laced four singles and knocked in a run as Barnesville swept Buckeye Trail.
COLLIN WILSON, Barnesville. Wilson came through with four singles and two RBI against Buckeye Trail.
ETHAN BAIRE, Martins Ferry. The Purple Riders standout had another big week which included three singles and an RBI vs. Monroe Central.
MALIK GUMMER, St. Clairsville. Gummer finished the week with a triple, three doubles, two singles and five RBI.
ARIEN SEYMOUR, Linsly. The Cadets stalwart doubled, singled and had two RBI against Shadyside.
COLTON COSS, Linsly. Coss rapped two singles, a double and knocked in a run against Shadyside.
BRENDEN BAIRE, Martins Ferry. Baire smashed two doubles against Bridgeport then ended the week with three singles against Monroe Central.
SPENCER BADIA, Bellaire. Badia helped the Big Reds top St. Clairsville with a double and three RBI.
TRAVIS FULTON, Shadyside. Fulton had two singles and two RBI against Barnesville.
JACOB KEISER, Barnesville. Keiser rapped three singles against Shadyside.
MICHAEL JACOB, St. Clairsville. Jacob moved to 2-0 by twirling a one-hit shutout, tossing six strikeouts against Wheeling Central.
MALIK FORD, St. John. Ford doubled, singled and drove in three runs vs. Valley.
BAILEY McGRATH, Bridgeport. McGrath fanned seven and walked one in the Bulldogs' contest against Martins Ferry.
NICK PATRONE, Bellaire. Patrone had a big week on the mound and at the plate. He struck out 13 and walked three in a victory at St. Clairsville and doubled, singled and plated two runs ahainst Harrison Central.
PARKER DYSON, Bridgeport. Dyson clubbed two singles and knocked in a run vs. Martins Ferry.
TANNER BURKHART, Monroe Central. Burkhart exploded for a homer and two RBI against PVC foe Fort Frye.
SETH ALLEMAN, Monroe Central. Two singles and two RBI showed by Alleman's name in the scorebook against the Cadets.
IAN SAHO, Harrison Central. Saho doubled, had two singles and knocked in a pair of runs against Bellaire.
DALTON RUTTER, Harrison Central. Rutter laced three singles against the Big Reds.
TRACK AND FIELD
JAYLON BROWN, St. Clairsville. Senior sprinter claimed the 100 and 200 meter dash titles at the Porterfield Invitational in 10.88 and 22.50.
JACK FITCH, Martins Ferry. Junior talent was the high-point winner at the Martins Ferry Relays and claimed the 300 hurdles and ran on two winning relays at the Porterfield Invitational.
AUSTIN KEMP, Union Local. Jets' pole vaulter had a big week. He won a meet at Buckeye Trail and then claimed the Porterfield Invitational by clearing 13-feet in both meets.
TAYLOR STONER, Bellaire. Freshman won the 1600 meter run at the Porterfield Invitational.
JESSICA ALVEY, St. John. Sophomore won the 400 meter dash and finished second in the long jump at the Dick Dei Track Classic at Wheeling Park.
FALLON DOYLE, St. John. Junior won the 1600 meter run and finished third in the 800 at the Dick Dei Track Classic at Wheeling Park.
