SANDRA GARDNER, Buckeye Local. A sophomore pitcher, she earned two wins and a save inside the circle as the Panthers made a strong push last week to earn the top seed in this week's OVAC Class 4-A Tournament. She totaled a dozen strikeouts.
KIERSTYN CZUCHRAN, Buckeye Local. A hard-hitting junior first baseman, she rapped four singles, two doubles and a game-winning three-run homer against John Marshall. She finished with eight runs batted in.
KARLEE LEONARD, Buckeye Local. A senior third baseman, she had a pair of doubles and a two-run homer.
RACHEL ZEROSKI, Buckeye Local. A sophomore second baseman, she cracked out five singles and drove in two runs.
LAUREN SWIGER, Buckeye Local. A junior shortstop, she collected three singles, a double and two RBI.
IVY STARCHER, Buckeye Local. A senior pitcher, she won two games inside the circle, including a 15-strikeout performance against Bellaire.
LAUREN FIGURA, St. Clairsville. A hard-hitting senior pitcher, she slugged two home runs and drove in four runs in the win over previously undefeated St. John Central. She also picked up the mound decision despite no strikeouts. She was also the winning pitcher against Union Local.
CAITLIN SLIVA, St. John Central. A junior shortstop, she banged out four singles and a double that drove in two runs for the Irish.
MIRANDA BOWERS, Bridgeport. A freshman, she did just about everything for the Bulldogs. She won three games inside the circle, singled and doubled and drove in three runs.
MONICA CURTIS, River. Another promising junior, she had a pair of victories inside the circle, including a two-hit shutout of Tyler Consolidated. She also totalled five singles, a double and two runs batted in.
MEGAN HEAGNEY, Shadyside. A junior standout, she hit two home runs in a game at Bridgeport that produced three runs. She also singled and doubled in a game at Beallsville.
KATIE HEATH, Shadyside. Just a freshman, she fanned a dozen in her first varsity start inside the circle against Beallsville.
SHELBY BENEDETTA, Shadyside. A junior centerfielder, she collected four singles and a run batted in against Beallsville.
KATIE ELLZY, Harrison Central. A junior standout who has verballed to Robert Morris University, she hit three homers and drove in seven runs in a twinbill sweep of Weir. She also fanned 18 in the two games.
GARRETT TRUDO, Martins Ferry: Trudo doubled and drove in two runs as Martins Ferry started the week with a win against St. Clairsville.
COLTON COSS, Linsly: Coss laced two singled and had three RBI in the Cadets' romp against River.
SETH SCOTT, Martins Ferry: The Purple Riders catcher knocked in three runs in the team's home triumph against the Red Devils. Later in the week, he had two singles, a double and two RBI against St. C.
ERICK TAYLOR, Linsly: Taylor exploded for two singles, a double and three RBI in Linsly's 11-1 victory at River.
MATT DUNFEE, Union Local: Dunfee had a homer and knocked in four runa as the Jets prevailed in a slugfest against Indian Creek.
NICK STATEN, Harrison Central: Staten belted three singles and knocked in two runs as the Huskies topped Beaver Local.
GRIFFEY GIRTY, Union Local: Girty came through with two doubles and two RBI in UL's victory against Indian Creek. Against Martins Ferry he had four hits.
GIOVANNI ROCCHI, Harrison Central: Rocchi had two singles, a double and an RBI in the Huskies' loss to Edison. He had three singles against the Wildcats later in the week.
NICK PATRONE, Bellaire: Patrone fired 11 strikeouts for the Big Reds against Buckeye Local. Against Steubenville Catholic, he picked up the pitching win, had five RBI and two doubles.
SPENCER BADIA, Bellaire: Badia belted a homer and two singles in the Big Reds' victory against Edison.
TYLER RAMSAY, Bellaire: Ramsay homered doubled and had four RBI against Edison. Against SCC in the OVAC semifinals, he drove in five runs, homered, doubled and had two singles.
TRAVIS JAMES, Union Local: James slapped three singles and plated a run as the Jets edged Indian Creek.
ZACH ARBOGAST, Harrison Central: Arbogast slapped two singles and knocked in two runs against Beaver Local.
BEAR CUMBERLIDGE, Bellaire: Bear tossed a three-hitter, striking out five as the Big Reds topped Cameron.
LUKE LLOYD, Martins Ferry: Lloyd put forrth a pair of strong pitching performances, beating Barnesville and then defeating St. Clairsville to put the Purple Riders in Friday's OVAC championship game.
IAN SAHO, Harrison Central: Saho tossed a one-hitter as the Huskies blanked Beaver Local. He aided his own cause with three singles.
BAILEY McGRATH, Bridgeport: McGrath collected two doubles, a single and three RBI against Beallsville.
BRANDON PANEPUCCI, Buckeye Local: Panepucci had two singles and three RBI in the Panthers' victory at John Marshall.
COLT CHARLTON, Bridgeport: Charlton had four RBI as the Bulldogs blanked Beallsville.
ERIC WILLIAMS, Buckeye Local: Williams belted a grand slam as part of a seven-run first inning in BL's blanking of John Marshall.

CODY LaROCHE, Bellaire. Junior won the shot put at the Bellaire Relays.
RIKKI ALLEN, Martins Ferry. Senior won the pole vault crown at the Bellaire Relays.
JAMIE TRUCHAN, Martins Ferry. Lady Rider standout won the 800 meter crown at the Bellaire Relays.
DALETHIA JOHNSON, Martins Ferry. Freshman was the champion in the 400 meter dash at the Bellaire Relays.
