BELLAIRE -- A 2010 St. John Central graduate recently completed a successful career as a member of the nationally ranked Ohio State University All Girl Competition Squad.
Abby R. Krupnik is a member of The Ohio State squad. It is traveling competition squad with trips to Indiana, Georgia and Florida.
She also represents The Ohio State University in various events in the Columbus area as a member of this squad.
She has been on the All Girl Competition squad for The Ohio State University for the past three years.
Krupnik and her squad members recently returned from the prestigious NCA nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The squad qualified as finalists and captured seventh place overall in the competition which featured more than 7,000 participants from colleges across the United States.
Krupnik is scheduled to graduate with a degree in Biology from The Ohio State University in May with her sights set on graduate school as well. Krupnik was a four-year varsity cheerleader for St. John Central.
Krupnik cut her cheerleading teeth with the Wheeling Allstars at age 10, where she was eight-year member of the Wheeling Allstar Cheering squad that captured two international titles held in Orlando, Florida.
Meanwhile, Krupnik has also served as the treasurer of The Ohio State squad is the daughter of Bellaire residents Marla and Doug Krupnik and granddaughter of Mary Ellen Palenicek and the late Steve Palenicek and Water Krupnik and the late Mona Krupnik of St. Clairsville.
