SARAH DIERKES, Shadyside. This junior knocked in the winning run in the top of the seventh inning as the Tigers knocked off No. 1 seed River, 1-0, in the OVAC Tom Bechtel Class 2A semifinals.
ROSIE ROMICK, River. This sophomore made the most of her first start inside the circle as she no-hit Valley, striking out 10.
HAYLEE BOWERS, River. A hard-hitting junior, she rapped two triples and a double to drive in three runs versus the Lumberjills.
SHAYE DeLEONARDIS, Martins Ferry. A sophomore, she had three singles against Steubenville in the OVAC Tom Bechtel 4A semifinal.
KATIE ELLZY, Harrison Central. This talented junior had 10 strikeouts and singled and doubled as the Huskies upset No. 1 seed Buckeye Local in the OVAC Tom Bechtel Class 4A semifinals. She then clubbed a single and home run that produced two runs in the championship game loss to Steubenville.
CORI MEDLEY, Union Local. This Jets' senior, she collected seven singles and knocked in the winning run in Game 2 against Weir.
HANNAH ABSALOM, St. John Central. This do-everything senior was a force as the Irish claimed the OVAC Tom Bechtel 1A division. She struck out 13 in each game, while allowing just two walks. She hit a home run in each game, and finished with four runs batted in.
CHEYENNE HARRIS, St. John Central. A junior, she drove in the winning run in the bottom of the eighth in the semifinals against Bishop Donahue.
COLLIN WILSON, Barnesville: Wilson cranked out two singles and an RBI against Madonna.
PARKER DYSON and BAILEY McGRATH, Bridgeport: Dyson and McGrath combined to twirl a two-hitter against Union Local. Dyson struck out five in five innings work, with McGrath fanning two.
DILLON CURTIN, Linsly: Curtin brought out the big bat against Bellaire in the OVAC 3A championship game. He homered, singled and plated two in the victory.
ETHAN BAIRE, Martins Ferry: Baire doubled, singled and knocked in three runs for the Purple Riders in Ferry's OVAC 4A final against Steubenville.
JONATHAN BORKOSKI, Buckeye Local: Borkoski earned a complete-game victory against Harrison Central, striking out seven and walking three. He also doubled and knocked in a run.
TYLER REDISH, Harrison Central: Redish doubled, singled and knocked in a run against Steubenville Catholic.
ERIC BANAL, Buckeye Local: Banal slapped three singles against Harrison Central.
COLE ISALY, River: Isaly shined on the mound and at the plate against St. John. He tossed a four-hitter, striking out eight and walking none. He also doubled, singled and knocked in two runs.
JOSH FIGURSKI, Buckeye Local: Figurski, against Indian Creek, rapped a single and plated two runs.
ETHAN GROVES, Monroe Central: Groves laced three singles in a victory against River.
WES SMITH, River: Smith delivered a double, single and two RBI for the Pilots against St. John.

JAMIE TRUCHAN, Martins Ferry: Purple Rider distance runner won both the 800 and 1600 meter run at the Buckeye 8 Championship
JACK FITCH, ANDREW WATTS, BRIAN STYLES, HUNTER HILL, Martins Ferry: Purple foursome prevailed in both the 4x1 and 4x2 relays.
JAYLON BROWN, St. Clairsville - Senior speedster won the 100 and 200 meter dashes at the Buckeye 8.
ABBY CALDWELL, River: Sophomore speedster won the 100 meter dash and the 300 meter low hurdles at the Dave Ice Invitational.
