Lady Irish Hoopsters Serving at Buffalo Wild Wings
The St. John Central Lady Irish basketball team is holding a celebrity server at Buffalo Wild Wings in St. Clairsville on Wednesday, June 4, from 6-8 p.m.
A 50-50 drawing will also be held.
All proceeds will help defray the costs of the girls' hoop team summer expenses.
Bridgeport Girls' Basketball Meeting
On Thursday at 6 p.m. in the media center, there will be an organizational meeting for all parents with girls in grades 8 thru 11. Parents must attend or contact Coach Zitzelsberger at (740) 859-4158.
Shadyside Boys Basketball Camp
The 18th annual Shadyside Basketball Camp is for boys in grades 3-8, next year. The camp will be held June 2-5 at the high school small gym and outdoor courts from 9 a.m. until noon. Campers will receive fundamental instruction, awards for daily contests, full-court games, t-shirt, and daily refreshment. Cost of Camp is $35 per camper. Shadyside Boys Junior Summer League

St. Clairsville Cheering Clinic
The St. Clairsville cheerleaders will be holding their annual cheering clinic through Friday from 1-3:30 p.m. at the St. Clairsville High School gym. The cost of the clinic is $40 per child which includes a t-shirt and a medal. There is a family discount if you have more than one child. Students entering grades K through 8th for next school year are eligible to attend and the clinic is open to all school districts. A concession stand and many cheering items will be for sale throughout the week. There will be a performance on Friday at 1 p.m. in the high school gym which is open to the public. Mike McFarland Memorial 5K
Registrations are being accepted for the 2nd annual St. John Central Interact Club's Mike McFarland Memorial 5K, hosted by the All-American Days Festival in Bellaire. Cost is $20 by June 2 and $25 on race day, which is Saturday, June 7 at 9 a.m. at the Bellaire Park Fountain. Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female runners. First- and second-place winners in each age group will also be awarded. T-shirts for pre-registrants only. Buckeye Local Sports Physicals
Buckeye Local Sports Physicals will be held on Wednesday at Wheeling Hospital, Tower 4, 4th floor, room 401. Cost is $10. Schedule is as follows: Seniors 5:30 p.m., juniors 6, sophomores 6:30, freshman and Jr. High 7. Please take signed physical forms with you to the physicals.
St. C. Basketball Camp Slated to Begin
The boys' basketball staff at St. Clairsville High school will hold the 23rd annual baskeball camp. Students in grades 3-9 (next year) are eligible to attend. The camp will be held at St. Clairsville High School through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Campers will receive a t-shirt, awards for various contests, instuctions of fundamentals, league and tournament games, as well as a daily beverage. The cost of the camp is $40. Applications can be picked up at the high school, middle school, elementary school or at Jenkins Sporting Goods.

Bellaire Basketball Camp Slated
The Bellaire Basketball Camp will begin Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12. Camp times are 9 a.m. until noon at the Bellaire High School gyms. The program is open to both boys and girls grades kindergarten through eight (8) and open to all school districts.
Special emphasis will be given to the fundamentals: Body balance and pivoting, starting and stopping, ball handling and dribbling, passing and catching, screening and cutting, boxing out and shooting. Lectures will be delivered on drug and alcohol prevention, teamwork, attitude, scholastic achievement, goal setting, success and more. Fun activities like dribble tag, lay-up competitions, full court basketball games, etc. will also be included. Each participant will receive a Bellaire Basketball t-shirt. Smaller basketballs and lower hoops will be available for younger campers.

Bellaire High Youth Football Camp
The Bellaire High Youth Football Camp, set for Monday, June 2 to Thursday, June 5, is designed to give campers the finest football instruction possible, and at the same time, give campers a full week of fun and a stepping stone to becoming a more confident football player. Campers will be associating with some of the best young athletes in the Ohio Valley.
The camp is open to athletes entering second grade through eight grade. This is not a conditioning or recreational camp.
Athletes are reminded to bring shorts, socks and cleated shoes, if possible. A camp t-shirt will be presented to each camper.
The entry fee is $30 for pre-registered and $40 for walk-up. Early registration is encouraged and the fee is non-refundable.
