High up in Grand Vue Park, Moundsville, participants can run through clouds of color for a good cause during the Williams Inaugural Color Me United 5k Color Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, June 14.
Race proceeds will benefit the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley. A Kids Fun Run for children eight years old and under will be held at 10 a.m., and the main event will be at 10:30 a.m.
"Williams-Ohio Valley Midstream invites area residents to the non-competitive event that guarantees they will finish enveloped in their own personal rainbow, thanks to the clouds of colored powders we'll be throwing over them throughout the race," Mollie Neely, Run chair, said. "The race will run on a combination of the walking paths at the park. The starting point for both the Kids Fun Run and the 5K will be the Shelter Two parking lot."
The first 200 participants to register also will be guaranteed a tee-shirt. Sponsors for the Run are: Platinum Encompass Energy Services, LLC; Grand Vue Park; Otis Eastern Service, LLC; Gold McJunkin Red Man Corporation; Price Gregory International, Inc.; Sunnyside Supply, Knight's Farm Supply and Ruttenberg's. WTOV-TV is the media sponsor.
The early entry fee prior to June 7 is $25, with the late entry fee being $30. The Kids Fun Run entry fee is $10.
