Community is defined as follows.
A group of people living in the same locality in which such a group lives under the same government. I thought to myself, what a stuffy and cold way to describe something so "Important", something so worth living in. I wanted to find a different dictionary, hoping it would have a description more suitable to my liking. On a level of importance, community is the whole reason we live the lives we live. Our lives, our nature, our whole being is defined by the way we live together in our society and how we function together as a whole. Is there controversy and drama in all of this? Absolutely, there will always be a difference of opinion among the people and yet our disputes are part of the learning process of growing. Communities have to grow and support one another. Without growth they die, as with everything else in life.
Community is the necessary ingredient that holds the entire process of government together. A close knit community is the life preserver that keeps our nation afloat in the storms of life. If we work together, play together, pray together and follow the principals set forth by our Creator, our lives can be a continuous stream of joy and contentment, filled with days of hope, faith and peace. As we grow in age and wisdom, we can clearly see how our involvement has made an impact in everything that builds or destroys our neighborhoods.
Divided we fall, together we stand. Working through our differences, finding middle ground, meeting together, and being civil to one another. Finding not fault in each other, but looking for the good in everyone, whether poor or rich, smart or ignorant, our growth in life is based on one thing only, "How we LOVE each other!!!"
The family that prays together, stays together!
