Albert Troy Phillips, Sr., 87, of Georgia, formerly of Piney Fork, OH, died Friday, May 16, 2014.
Mr. Phillips was born in Bellaire, OH, a son of the late Troy Phillips and Opal Brock Dean.
He was a retired Foreman from Wheeling- Pittsburgh Steel Corp, with more than 30 years of service. He and his wife moved to Georgia over 20 years ago.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Statzer.
Surviving are his loving wife of 60 years, Lelah Faye Wolfe Phillips of Georgia; daughters, Karen (Russell) Iler of Piney Fork, Pauline Best of Jefferson, Pam (Terry) Fulton of Cadiz; a son, Albert Troy (April) Phillips, Jr. of Mingo Jct.; his faithful bulldog, Sadie; 12 grandchildren; 14 great- grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Services will be held Sunday June 22 at 11 a.m. at the Bellaire Dock in Bellaire, Ohio. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. at Northern Cemetery, Smithfield, OH.
