ANITA?JACKSON, vice president of the Jefferson County Chamber Ambassadors' Club and Chair of the Chamber's Annual “Pool Side Burger Bash and Corn Hole Competition,” (center) awards the trophy to the 2014 cornhole champions, Michael Vok (L) and Tommy Davis (R), both employed at Carter Healthcare. The event, which was held pool side at the Best Western Plus in Steubenville, hosted a capacity crowd and featured picnic food, music, corn hole and dancing. The Chamber Ambassadors' Club is made up of representatives from area businesses and organization that are “Chamber Investor Members” and the organization serves as a “help arm” of the chamber, attending and working various chamber events such as the annual golf scramble, the lecture series and the annual dinner. The proceeds that were realized from the event will be earmarked for chamber projects, such as helping to fund such events as the chamber speaker/luncheon series and related projects. Jackson, has been the chair of this event since its inception four years ago and is employed by Franciscan University as Director of Community Relations. She states, “ is extremely fulfilling when you see a plan or event successfully come together and to know that the end will benefit a good cause.”
