St. Clairsville Board of Education seeks input

July 7, 2014
Times Leader

ST. CLAIRSVILLE - Following the regular Board of Education meeting on July 16, a special public meeting will be held to seek the public's input for the use of Federal funds, specifically for Title I and IDEA Part B grant funds in the St. Clairsville-Richland City School District. Title I is utilized to provide intervention for elementary students in the areas of reading and mathematics. It may also be used for professional development. IDEA Part B funds help pay for the excess cost of providing special education and related services to children and youth with disabilities ages 3-21. Monies may be used to provide supplementary aides and services in a regular class or other educational setting to a child with a disability to meet that child's unique needs as identified in their Individual Education Plan. Funds may also be used to support professional development activities to general and special education teachers as well as families of children with disabilities.
