The famously crowned "queen of bluegrass" Rhonda Vincent will be performing at the Buckeye Bluegrass Festival on Aug. 7 - 9.
With more than 70 awards to their name, Rhonda Vincent and the Rage are the most celebrated band in bluegrass, with honors including Entertainer of the Year award from the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) and a staggering seven consecutive IBMA Female Vocalist of the Year awards.
Vincent, along with 12 other national and regional bluegrass bands, will be performing over the three-day long annual bluegrass festival, which is held at the Greenwich Coon Hunters Club, 3221 Plymouth East Rd., Greenwich, Ohio.
Also performing are Little Roy and Lizzy, Bluegrass Mountaineers, Gentlemen of Bluegrass, Lorraine Jordan, Nitro Ride, Blanton Family, Matt Efaw and RFD , Coney Carver, Lloyd Blevins, Caney Creek, Ottawa County and the Hart Brothers.
The festival will feature more than 24 hours of stage concerts and lots of jamming. There is fishing, hiking, campfires, and food is also available. Rough camping is free from Aug. 4 - 10. Electric hookups are $ 7 per day. Concert tickets and times are Thursday, Aug. 7, 6-11 p.m., $15; Friday, Aug. 8, 4-11:30 p.m., $25; Saturday, Aug. 9, noon to 11:30 p.m., $25; weekend ticket, $50. Children 12 and under are free with paying adult.
