WHEELING - Three members of the Wheeling Civil Air Patrol Squadron recently returned from a week of Cadet training at Camp Dawson West Virginia. Cadets Luke K. Knollinger, Joseph W. Main and Cameron D. Hicks took part in a variety of activities. They spent their week learning how to cross a rope bridge, shooting a .22 rifle on the firing range, rappelling from an 80 foot tall tower, as well as learning land and water survival skills. One highlight of the week was the flight they got to take in a Blackhawk helicopter. According to Cadet Hicks the food for the week was awesome, however, the same could not be said for the Army style barracks they stayed in.
