I was invited to a ballgame at Gould Park in Bridgeport. I was appalled by the condition of the road. It was a disaster.
When we got to the ballfield, I was devastated by the condition that the Sports Director, Coaches and City Officials, would permit young children to play in such conditions.
The restroom was filthy, there was no toilet paper in them, but stored lawn mowers in them.
There is a Monument for the Niekro Brothers that graduated from Bridgeport High School and went on to become Professional Baseball Players. What a disgrace to the Niekro Brothers, The Village of Bridgeport, the City Officials and park workers to let Gould Park in such deplorable condition.
