Barnesville School Passes

-- Board Approved Passes--Board of Education members and all regular, permanent employees in the Barnesville EVSD will receive an athletic pass.
Football Reserved Seating

Senior citizen and student passes will be on sale beginning Monday, Aug. 18. All passes and reserved seating will be sold in the Central Office.
Presale tickets will be sold the week of every home football game at the Pit Stop, Bob's Drive Thru, and Barnesville High School Office.
Bridgeport Slates Mandatory OHSAA Meeting
Bridgeport will hold a mandatory OHSAA meeting for parents on Sunday at 3 p.m. in the cafetorium. The meeting is for parents of students participating in any fall sport including cheering that are entering grades 7-12.
Shadyside Football Moms Hosting Vendor Bingo
Shadyside Football Moms are hosting a Vendor Bingo on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the Shadyside American Legion. Cost is $10 which includes bingo and sandwich/salad/dessert/drink. There will be 20-plus vendors as well as 50/50 drawing and door prizes. Tickets are available at the All American Wash and Tan or at the door. Shadyside Football Moms Clothing Sale Ongoing

Irish Youth Steak Fest Slated
The sixth annual Irish Youth Steak Fest will be held on Saturday, Aug. 23 at the Irish Youth Sports Complex. The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner will be served from 6-8 with live entertainment from 7-10. The dinner includes: steak, baked potato, salad, bread, dessert, water and pop. Those attending are asked to bring your place settings. There will also be games, raffles and the entertainment will be provided by Taylor Porter and Verdict. Purple Riders Boosters Club Membership Drive Slated
Purple Riders Boosters Club will hold its annual house-to-house membership canvas on Wednesday. It will begin at 5 p.m. The players will be accompanied by their coaches. This is one of the main fundraisers for the club. The cost is a $3 donation.
Harrison Central Slates Mandatory Fall Sports Meeting
Harrison Central will hold its Fall Player/Parent Meeting on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the John W. Stephenson Center at the high school. This meeting is for any student in grades 7-12 who will be playing a sport this fall at Harrison Central Jr./Sr. High School. This is a required meeting by the OHSAA.
Buckeye Local Junior High Football Practices Slated
Buckeye Local Junior High football will begin on Thursday. Eighth graders are asked to report at 2:30-3:30 p.m. and seventh grade should report at 5-6:30 p.m. Players are asked to report to the east end of the high school and should wear shorts and football spikes.
Martins Ferry Selling Reserve Football Tickets
Martins Ferry is selling reserve tickets for its five home football games for the 2014 season on Monday, Aug. 4 and Tuesday, Aug. 5 from 5-7 p.m. at the stadium ticket office, for those who have purchased their tickets in the past. The cost is $35 for the five games. If there are any season tickets remaining, those purchasing them for the first time may do so on Monday, Aug. 11 from 5-7 p.m. at the stadium ticket office.
Also available on Monday and Tuesday will be parent passes for $125 each and senior citizen passes for $20. Student passes will be available when school starts for $40. Questions please call Carol Burda at 633-1732, ext. 3.
Martins Ferry Football Parents to Meet
The next meeting of the Martins Ferry Football Parents will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 12 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Martins Ferry Rec. Center.
All parents of players in grades 7-12 are invited and encouraged to attend.
Buckeye Local Girls Basketball Camp Slated
The Lady Panther Basketball Camp will be held Aug. 18-21 at the high school from 6-8:30 p.m. The camp is open to all girls entering grades 3-8 for the 2014-15 school year. St. C. Football Slates Celebrity Server Night
The St. Clairsville Football Team will hold a celebrity server night on Tuesday, Aug. 5 at Undo's in St. Clairsville from 5-9 p.m.
St. C. Junior High Volleyball Tryouts Set
St. Clairsville 7th and 8th grade volleyball tryouts will be Aug. 4 (5:30-8 p.m.), Aug. 5 (6-8 p.m.), and Aug. 6 (6-8 p.m.) at the high school gym. Those interested in trying out need a current physical. Forms can be picked up at St. Clairsville athletic office or administration building. Buckeye Local Golf Tryouts
Tryouts for the Buckeye Local golf team will be held Monday at Bec-Wood Golf Course at 11 a.m. All candidates must have a current physical and drug screening to participate.
Union Local Jr. High Football

St. Clairsville Jr. High Football
All St. Clairsville 7th and 8th grade athletes wishing to play football, practice will begin Aug. 6 from 6-7:30 p.m. Things to bring: red and gray shirt and shorts, football cleats, and water jug. Softball Tourney Planned
The first annual Dave Yocum Memorial softball tournament will be held Aug. 9-10 at the Powhatan Stadium field. Entry fee is $125 with $400 awarded for first place and $250 for runnerup. Red Devil Club Steak Fry Scheduled
The Red Devil Club Steak Fry will be Saturday, Aug. 9 from 6 until midnight at the Bob Gary Pavilion in Warnock. The dinner includes steak, baked potato, salad, dessert and drink (water, pop and beer provided). Bring your own place settings. A Chinese auction will also be available. Tickets are $20 per person.

Road Runners Fastpitch Softball Tryouts Slated
Road Runner Girls Fastpitch Travel Softball Tryouts for Summer 2015 will be held on Saturday, Aug. 9 in Wheeling at the J.B. Chambers Softball Complex. Tryouts will be held for 8U, 10U, 12U, & 14U from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Pitchers and catchers remain until 1:30. The 16U and 18U tryouts will run from 2-5 p.m. Pitchers and catchers remain until 5:30.
Shadyside Student and Senior Citizen Passes
The Shadyside Athletic Department will be selling senior citizen athletic passes as well as student athletic passes at the high school beginning Friday. Passes can be purchased in the athletic office between hours of 8 a.m. and noon, Monday through Friday. Senior athletic passes are $20 for Shadyside residents and $30 for non-Shadyside residents. Youth Fishing Event in St. C.
The St. Clairsville Department of Parks and Recreation will play host to its annual youth fishing tournament Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. for boys and girls ages 4 to 13 at the city reservoir. Cost is $5 per child/$10 for family (for residents) and $10 per child/$15 for family (non-residents). Trophies and poles will be awarded to winners in each age division.
Registrations will be accepted at the reservoir from 5-5:45 p.m. Wednesday.
