A 33-year old Arkansas man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday at 3:17 p.m. on US 250 near Harrisville in Jefferson County.
According to a press release from the Steubenville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Matthew Spence, of Kingland, Ark. was operating a 1983 Yamaha motorcycyle.
He was westbound on US 250, went off the right side of the road and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Dale Rothert, 73, of Adena. Spence was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Rothert and a passenger, Kathy Rothert, were not injured in the crash. An OSHP Crash Reconstructionist was on scene to assist with the investigation.
