Prep Volleyball Roundup: Barnesville sweeps Beallsville

Barnesville’s Lady Shamrocks needed just three games to knock off Beallsville in a Wednesday night match. The Green prevailed by counts of 25-19, 25-8, 25-11.

Stat leaders for Barnesville included: Paige Gibbons (five points, four aces, five kills, 12 assists, six digs); Kelsey Douglas (eight points, four aces, four kills); Hunter Weiss (10 points, 12 digs); Miranda Plumly (12 kills, five digs); Marissa Burga (10 points, five digs).

Beallsville received three kills, and three assists from Laikyn Tubaugh. Alie Campbell contributed three points and three kills. Katey Kinney charted five kills and three blocks. Anna Jones recorded 10 assists.

St. John Central topples Toronto

St. John Central was a four-game Wednesday victor over Toronto, prevailing by 25-14, 15-25, 25-15, 25-21.

The Lady Irish were led by Kristen Russell who charted 18 points, seven aces, six kills, and 10 assists. Jessica Alvey supported with 1o points, 10 kills and five digs. Caitlin Sliva contributed 18 points, four aces and seven kills. Sydney Helms registered seven points. Kaydie Coppa contributed 16 assists.

Conotton Valley upends Shadyside

Conotton Valley prevailed in four games over Shadyside in a Wednesday night match. The Lady Rockets won by scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-13.
