Shamrocks rock Martins Ferry

Barnesville’s Lady Shamrock won for the seventh time in eight outings in girls’ prep volleyball action following a Thursday night sweep of Martins Ferry. The ‘Rocks prevailed by counts of 25-19, 25-20, 25-14.

Barnesville’s Hunter Weiss charted 13 points and 17 digs. Paige Gibbons registered 18 assists and 14 digs. Kelsey Douglas delivered 10 kills and six points. Paige Huntsman contributed 10 assists and seven points. Marissa Burga tallied seven kills and seven digs.

Ferry’s Cassie Hanson compiled 10 assists and 12 digs. Shaina Oberdick hammered seven kills and scored five points. Jesse Probst totaled six points and four kills. Shaye Deleonardis donated seven assists and seven digs.

Beallsville Spikers Upend Cameron

Beallsville’s Lady Blue Devils needed just three games to post a Thursday night sweep of Cameron, prevailing by 25-10, 25-10, 25-9.

Union Local Tops Harrison Central

Union Local was a three-game Thursday night victor over Harrison Central, prevailing by counts of 25-8, 25-13, 25-11.

Leading the Lady Jets were: Kaylie Cole (19 points, 12 digs, six kills); Carly Schafer (19 assists, eight digs); Megan Nagy (eight points, seven kills, six digs); Shayla Otto (20 points, six digs, four kills); Sarah Sheppard (eight kills, eight digs).

Magnolia Outlasts Lady Pilots

Host Magnolia needed five games to outlast rival River in a Thursday night match at New Martinsville. The Lady Blue Eagles prevailed, 21-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-12, 15-10.

St. Clairsville Spikers Knock Off Big Red

St. Clairsville upended Steubenville Big Red in a four-game Thursday match, 26-24, 25-22, 21-25, 25-23.

Lady Red Devils stat leaders included: Allie Harrison (15 points, seven digs, 30 assists); Brigee Mick (10 points, 28 digs, six kills); Alexis St. Clair (24 digs, 12 kills); Ashleigh Moulder (eight points, eight digs, 12 kills); Rebekah Sadlowski (eight kills, eight digs).

Abby Taylor and Taylor Young slammed 11 kills apiece for Steubenville. Mytia Barker registered eight points and 10 digs.

Frontier Scores Sweep at Shadyside

Frontier’s Lady Cougars knocked off Shadyside in a Thursday night three-game sweep, 25-3, 25-6, 25-6.

The Cougars’ Kelsie Reinard tallied nine kills and 15 points. Emily Hinton charted 19 points and 16 assists. Kaylee Hurst contributed five points and four assists.

Bridgeport Claws Knights

Jalynn Conaway paced the Bulldogs with 14 points (five aces), eight kills and four digs.

Edison Sweeps Past Buckeye Local
